Our 10 Random Facts About Eklund

In keeping with Eklunds blog today, I figured I would do 10 random facts about him that Im sure he would love to forget.  Feel free to add to this list by clicking on the forum discussion link under the title.

1. Eklund made a complete ass of himself on Sportsnet “Deadline Bash” back in 2007.

2. He outright plagiarises LA Kings beat writer Hammond back in Sept.

3. He used the state of the economy to try and sell his “Seasons Ticket”, saying in these tough times it was important that members pay the $20 to help the site.

4. He finished off 2008 calender year with a 2.3% accuracy rating with his rumors and has since raised it to 3.2% after the trade deadline …… which is slightly less than picking teams from a hat.

5. On his Rumor Chart (that you pay $20 for)….of the 18 players dealt on deadline day, 2 of them had the team they where dealt to next to their name, 10 of them did not have the team they were deal to next to their name and 6 of them had no team next to their name.

6. He now has monthly as well as yearly payment plans for his seasons ticket, but if you DO NOT stop the subscription (which is auto set to renew) you will be charged that amount for the installment FULL duration for these totals.

7. He thought that Jacques Martin traded Luongo from Florida…..but was corrected by his readers.

8. He thought that Brian Burke drafted Todd Bertuzzi back in 1993 while with Hartford and that one of the players he traded to move up to do this was Markov…..he again had to be corrected by his readers.

9. He tried to bash Puck Daddy for an article about Brian burk using Twitter…..but in doing so he made himself look like a complete ass by not reading correctly.

10. After trying to take credit for 3+ trades that were already reported by other sports sites ,  he pulled the old switcheroo on his E-System rating that he had up for years in order to save some face.
