Well folks, today hit a all time low (yes, even lower than before) when he posted his blog today at 4:59pm (est) about Chuck Fletcher being named the Wild’s new gm.  He of course threw his E5 rating on it as usual, which is still listed as “E5 - This rumor comes from source telling Eklund the deal is 100% done and just has not been announced yet” on his FAQ page.

Members of his site of course saw the “E5″ and …

Plagiarism = EKLUND

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

Plagiarism, as defined in the 1995 Random House Compact Unabridged Dictionary, is the “use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work.”[1] Within academia, plagiarism by students, professors, or researchers is considered academic dishonesty or academic fraud and offenders are subject to academic censure, up to and including expulsion. In journalism, plagiarism is considered a breach of journalistic ethics, and reporters caught plagiarizing typically face disciplinary measures ranging from suspension to termination. Some individuals caught plagiarizing in academic or journalistic contexts claim that they plagiarized unintentionally, by failing to include quotations or give the appropriate citation.

It wouldn't be a problem if he just posted it without the numbers.  Then he would just be reporting news like every other journalist.  But then the wouldn't be able to claim to have inside info and charge $20.

what kills me is that loser poster that thinks TSN has 50 people working on breaking news, last time I looked Bob McKenzie and Darren Dreger were their only insiders.

Then feret face follows that up saying that they all talk to the same people, what a pile of horse hockey that is, Bob and Darren talk to real people, Eklund talks to his right hand, followed by his left, there's two of his sources right their, the palm sisters

Exactly.  If everyone talks to the same people then he isn't reporting anything special, he is just hoping he can get it up first so he can say he is great.

The saddest part was when Eklund went on to the forum and raved about how lucky he was to get the info out first - which he DIDNT. Because people started believing him, he played along with it - sickening.

When will someone take this scam artist down once and for all?

That was actually the funny part, 4-5 of the members of his site were told about the Russo blog almost right away.

But they decided to let Eklund “enjoy” his lie and make himself look lie a total moron for awhile before they ctually posted .about it

What this fool doesn't realize is that if he would have just shut his trap a long time ago, put his 2 cents in on what he thought about certain trades, rumors, and hiring/firings he would be fine. Nobody would have a problem and besides the horrendous trade rumor guesses, he would be just fine off in his own little world. But he has some kind of compulsion to throw up flags and start his own parade when the slightest inkling of a story appears to have been first reported by him.

His need to congratulate himself and make sure others do the same, even if that means constructing a story that has no truth to it, just to be the one who “broke something that almost happened”, is completely mind boggling.

You would think that, as a normal human being, you do something wrong once and get caught, you might stop doing it that way, but this guy puts his hand on the hot stove every day to make sure it still burns his hand, and thinks nothing of it. But it is true, as long as there are people out there to give him 20 dollars for a rumor chart that is “continuously” updated, he will still be here to give us our daily humor and move on.

He actually is believing his own BS- bad.

He actually thinks what he says has an impact- bad.

He actually considers himself a journalist one day then a reporter the next- bad.

He knows his fame is about to end- good.

More and more people realize they have been scammed, lied to and cheated.  He should be embarassed with what he has done and the people who have gone along with it, some of the writers who actuallys still blog for him, should feel humiliated.
